With the latest (1308) version, the name of the development environment for SAP Business ByDesign, SAP Cloud for Customer (former Customer OnDemand) and SAP Cloud for Travel (former Travel OnDemand) changes to SAP Cloud Applications Studio.
This name change reflects the general SAP naming strategy for cloud applications that is described in Renaming of some SAP Cloud Applications shows SAP Cloud commitment .
In SAP Solutions OnDemand Studio: New Common Name & Build, New Release Numbers, New Features, I described that as of version 1302, there is only one joined build of the SDK for ByDesign, SAP Cloud for Customer (former Customer OnDemand) and SAP Cloud for Travel (former Travel OnDemand). For versions 1302 and 1305, the name of the SDK is named SAP Solutions OnDemand Studio. As of 1308 the name changes to SAP Cloud Applications Studio. The release numbering and release strategy remains unchanged.
