SAP Integration Scenario
SAP has defined an interface called JXBP, which stands for Java External Interface for Job Background Processing. JXBP is one of the many SAP open interfaces, which are available for system management tasks.
It provides low-level job scheduling capabilities for applications running on the Java-based deployments of SAP NetWeaver Application Server (AS), such as enabling the automated execution of tasks that applications can perform in the background. The scope and the features of this new integration scenario are similar to those offered by the Computer Center Management System (CCMS) ABAP scheduler (transactions SM36 and SM37), that is used for ABAP-based deployments of SAP NetWeaver AS. With the JXBP certification external job schedulers can now also run and monitor jobs inside the Java-based SAP NetWeaver AS.
