We have a requirement as follows -
For the material Pipe. Purchase Order Unit is Meter (M). Base Unit of Measure is Joint (JT). The approximate relation is 1JT= 10M. However this may vary on every Goods Receipt.
During first Goods Receipt supplier may send 700M of Pipe in 68 JTs, Therefore the relation becomes 1JT = 10.29 M. During second goods receipt supplier may send 300M of Pipe in 31JTs. Therefore the relation becomes 1JT = 9.68. This is just an example. The supplier sent pipe length and the number of joints may vary every time and therefore the relation between JT and M may change upon every Goods Receipt.
Question is how, without Batch Management or applying Batch Specific UoM criteria, we can achieve this functionality i.e. on GR screen we can put in the pipe length and number of joints and the relation will be calculated based on that automatically? i.e. we need to achieve dynamic conversion between Base UoM and PO UoM?
